How to Face Failure, Handle Overwhelm & Build an Authentic Brand

An Interview with Joanna Waterfall, Founder of Yellow Co.

Have you ever faced failure in your business? Or fear of failure?

If you’re like most entrepreneurs I meet, you’re giving me an emphatic “YES.” And I’m with you. I don’t know why we’re so conditioned to hate and fear failure, but we certainly do.

The reality is: failure is a PART of business.

It doesn’t have to be huge, epic failure (though it can be and you’d still be ok!) but simply trying anything that just doesn’t work out, can be tough. I firmly believe if you’re doing important work, you have to take risks. Risks come with failure.

The good news is, you don’t have to be afraid of it. In fact, it’s often a good thing.

I sat down with Joanna Waterfall, the founder of Yellow Co., to talk about facing failure with dignity and grit, along with:

  • her journey building a thriving business in just three short years
  • the challenges she’s faced along the way
  • practical ways to deal with overwhelm
  • how to build an authentic brand
  • balancing business, creativity and social good
  • and more value-packed tidbits

There was SO much great info and advice in this episode – we couldn’t fit it all in.

So Joanna gave me permission to put all her solid pointers on building an authentic brand into a Tips Sheet for you!

Regardless of what stage you’re at in business or even life, I know this episode will add immense value. Let me know if you have any questions about the interview or anything else for that matter!

All my best,

Rachael
